In the context of your health …
How do you know that drug or supplement is what it says it is?
I could take an aspirin, tell you it’s B-complex, and you’d likely believe me.
Your medical doctor says your cholesterol is high?
Take these statins and don’t worry about it. Your cholesterol will come down. He’s your medical doctor, so you trust him.
You want to lose weight and live a long time?
Go on the treadmill for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Your trainer knows best, or does he?
Eat your grains (which according to the food pyramid, you’re supposed to eat the MOST of!), and stop asking questions!
You want to be happy?
Work 40 hours a week to make lots of spending money. Then miss the opportunities to spend time where it really counts, doing what you love, with those you love, with your short time on Earth.
You are on your own.
Conventional wisdom doesn’t have all the answers.
Neither do I.
In reality, you’re on your own to figure them out.
This is America. The government, your doctor, your trainer … they all want to make money off of you.
Only by becoming a humble observer of the world around you … by having a system to feed advice to determine whether it’s true or false … will you find H & H (health and happiness).
I’ll do my best to help you filter the truth from the lies.
